Sapodilla, also known as Nispero, chikoo or Sapote, is a tropical fruit native to Central America. It has a round or oval shape and a rough, brown skin when ripe. The flesh of the fruit is soft and has a texture similar to a pear. It is also brown or reddish-brown in color and has a sweet, slightly tangy flavor. Sapodilla is often eaten fresh or used to make desserts, such as ice cream and smoothies. It is also a good source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, and iron. When ripe, the fruit will be soft to the touch and have a slightly sweet aroma. It can be stored at room temperature until it is ripe, and then refrigerated until it is ready to be eaten.
