Dimocarpus longan commonly known as Longan or Dragons Eye is a tropical fruit that is native to Asia and China. Longan is related to the Soapberry family just like rambutan and lychee. Within the bark-like, brown shell is a translucent, sweet pulp that surrounds a small, black seed resembling a dragons eye.

Ripening Guide:
Longan is shipped ripe and is ready to eat upon delivery. To consume, simply crack the outer shell and indulge in the sweet, juicy flesh. The smooth black seed along with the shell is inedible and can be composted.
