Noni Fruit
Morinda citrifolia commonly known as Noni is a tropical fruit tree native to Asia, Australia and the islands of Polynesia. Noni is about the size of a small mango with lumpy texture. The skin is semi-translucent and can range in color from lime green to pale yellow depending on the maturity. When ripe, the inner flesh of the fruit is semi gelatinous and surrounds dark brown seeds. Noni is also known as “cheese fruit” or “vomit fruit” due to its fowl smell with bitter and intense flavor. Noni has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years. If you are able to get past the scent then, you can reap the list of benefits. Studies have shown that Noni may improve overall health.
